This digital art piece was created in procreate using an apple pencil. I sat down under the full moon with my ipad and basked in the smell of wild ripe Datura flowers within my reach.
I recalled the cover for Stevie Nick's "Belladonna " and decided to create a re-imagining of this iconic scene.
This piece honors the transformative properties of the owl, and the Datura flower. Commonly, both can represent death, but in this piece they represent the power of the shadow self.
The end is actually just the beginning...
